On Sept 1, 1970, four days after her launch, an explosion in her engine room killed one and injured seven others

Management transferred 1993 to Seaway Self-Unloaders, St. Catharines ON, a vessel operation and management joint venture of Algoma Central Railway and ULS Corporation to operate their self-unloading vessels, ULS Corporation, Mgr.

Self-unloader and straight deck management organizations of these firms merged 2000 into a single firm, Seaway Marine Transport, St. Catharines ON

Sold for scrap 2010 to Turkish shipbreakers.  Cleared Montreal QC Sept 18, 2010 towed by Dutch tug Sirocco.  Tow arrived Aliaga Turkey Oct 17, 2010.
