Operated between Buffalo NY and Milwaukee WI and Chicago IL

Firm renamed Western Transit Co. 1884.

Sold 1912 to Illinois Naval Militia for non-transportation use at Chicago IL.  Machinery removed.  Ground later filled in around her.  Used as a receiving ship for the U. S. Navy during World War I.  After the war decked over and used as a Naval Reserve Armory at Chicago.

Decommissioned by U. S. Navy March 30, 1930.  Dismantled early 1931.
