Inland Steel Co. sold 1998 to Ispat International, a Netherlands company and to permit continued operation of the fleet between U.S. ports the vessels were transferred to subsidiary Indiana Harbor Steamship Co., managed by Central Marine Logistics, Griffith IN.

  1. We’re looking for image of the Joseph Block of the 1930’s… have a relative who worked on it… do have a small image of him on it, then also of Mr Block in front of the freighter.

  2. I have a pic of my grandfather Walter Johnson whom was 2nd Engineer, the Fire Safety Supervisor, and the 1st. Mate. Taken on December 04 ,1957, they were putting steam in the lines to prepare the vessel for winter lay-up. I was wondering if there are any other pictures of them or a pic of the vessel that I could have.
