Built at Sunderland England by Sir James Laing & Sons, Hull 766
Launched Nov 19, 1945
Built as Empire Maldon for the British Ministry of War Transport during World War II .  Sold 1946 to Imperial Oil Ltd. and renamed Imperial Halifax.  Sold 1969 to owners below and came to the Great Lakes.

1 deck, oil-fired diesel engine, 2390 BHP

Enrolled at
343.5 x 48.3 x 26.5, 3734 GT, 1982 NT     Can 181129     to:
Johnstone Shipping Ltd., Toronto ON (home port Halifax NS)

Renamed Congar  (2) 1970 and entered Great Lakes service

Laid up at the end of the 1975 season at Toronto ON and did not operate again

Sold for scrap 1977 to United Metals Ltd., Hamilton ON.  Towed to Hamilton and scrapped there.
