Entered service May 26, 1963 clearing Lauzon QC light for Duluth MN.  Up Welland Canal May 28, 1963

Deepened (by addition of a trunk deck) and converted to self-unloader 1980 at Thunder Bay ON by Port Arthur Shipbuilding Co.
Remeasured to 20646 GT, 14644 NT

Sold 1988 to Canada Steamship Lines, Montreal QC and renamed Halifax.

Laid up Dec 27, 2008 at Montreal QC and did not operate again

Sold for scrap 2011 to Turkish shipbreakers.  Cleared Montreal QC May 25, 2011 towed by tug Scirocco. Tow arrived Aliaga Turkey June 22, 2011.
