Sold 1973 to Marine Salvage Ltd., Port Colborne ON.  Resold to Spanish shipbreakers.  Cleared Quebec QC April 24, 1973 with str. Edward S. Kendrick towed by Polish tug Koral.  Tow arrived at Castellon Spain May 19, 1973.

  1. I found an old picture of the General Garretson in my Father-in-laws attic. Don’t understand how he came to have this picture, he never was interested in boats or lake freighters.

    I live in Erie Pennsylvania and have been sailing, both summer and winter for 37 years. Love old boat pictures and the history of the Great Lakes.
