Sank whaleback str. Thomas Wilson June 7, 1902 off Duluth MN, Lake Superior.  Made Duluth harbor and sank.  Raised, repaired and returned to service.  Renamed William P. Rend.

Rebuilt 1905 at Chicago IL by Ship Owners Dry Dock Co.
Remeasured to 23.6 depth and 2323 GT, 1697 NT

Sold 1916 to Nyanza Steamship Co., Buffalo NY, Joseph A. Boland, Mgr.

Converted to barge at Detroit MI by W. H. Oades Shipyard.
No change in dimensions or tonnages

Wrecked Oct 2, 1917 near Alpena MI, Lake Huron.  No lives lost.
