Burned Dec 5, 1897 off Evanston IL, Lake Michigan.  Sailing light from Milwaukee WI to Chicago IL.  Caught fire and stranded 100 yards off shore.  Enrollment surrendered Dec 31, 1897.  Engine recovered 1898.
