In service with sister vessel Southern Michigan between Buffalo NY and Monroe MI

Permanent enrollment at Buffalo NY June 1, 1853 (#90) (home port not stated on enrollment)

Home port to Michigan (sic) 1855

Caught fire July 17, 1856 off Point Pelee ON, Lake Erie and burned.  Enroute from Buffalo NY to Monroe MI.  Of an estimated 150 aboard, 15-56 lives were lost.  Survivors were rescued by strs. Mississippi and Republic
