Entered service April 21, 1890 carrying iron ore from Two Harbors MN.

Stranded Nov 10, 1898 off breakwater Cleveland OH, Lake Erie.  Towline from towing tug broke in heavy sea.  No lives lost.  Enrollment surrendered at Buffalo NY Jan 14, 1899
