Entered service 1850 operating for the Michigan Central Railroad between Buffalo NY and Detroit MI

Sold 1856 to Solomon Gardner 5/6 and Charles Blodgett 1/6

Operated for Detroit & Cleveland Steam Navigation Co. between Detroit MI and Cleveland OH

Sold 1862 to F. S. Ayers ½, Charles G. Larned ¼ and E. Wiswal ¼, Troy NY (home port to Buffalo NY)

Rebuilt to sloop at Detroit MI.  Engine installed in Morning Star, building at Trenton MI
Remeasured to 244’ x 33’6” x 13’3”, 978 33/95 tons

Home port to Port Austin MI 1864

Remeasured 1865 under Act of May 6, 1864 (new measuring rules) to 245.5 x 36.4 x 12.8, 578.20 tons     US 53063 

Foundered 1873 on Tawas Bay, Lake Huron
