Built at Hingham MA by Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Hull 3453
Keel laid Jan 3, 1945;  launched Feb 11, 1945
Built for the U. S. Navy during World War II as a landing ship (tank) LST 1063.  Original dimensions 328’ LOA, 50’ beam, 25’ depth.  Sold 1948 to owners below, converted to tanker at Oakland CA by Moore Dry Dock Co. and came to the Great Lakes via the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers.

1 deck, 2 oil-fired diesel engines, 1800 BHP

315.1 x 50.0 x 24.5, 3748 GT, 2956 NT     US 257395     to:
Cleveland Tankers Inc., Cleveland OH (home port Wilmington DE)

Entered Great Lakes service 1949

Sold for scrap 1977 to Acme Scrap Iron & Metal Co., Ashtabula OH and scrapped at Ashtabula.
