Foundered Oct 15, 1903 off Michigan Island, Apostle Islands, Lake Superior.  Downbound from Ashland WI with cargo of iron ore, sprang leak in storm and sank.  No lives lost.  Crew took to lifeboats.  Enrollment surrendered Dec 18, 1903.
