1 deck, arch cargo hold construction, hatches @ 24’, oil-fired diesel engine, 9600 BHP

Entered service May 1965

Management transferred 1991 to Great Lakes Bulk Carriers, Winnipeg MB, a vessel operation and  management joint venture of Canada Steamship Lines, Misener Shipping and Pioneer  Shipping to operate their straight deck vessels, David K. Gardiner (COO of Misener), Mgr.

Laid up Dec 30, 1993 and did not operate again

Great Lakes Bulk Carriers discontinued 1994 and vessel sold to ULS Corporation, Toronto ON and  renamed Canadian Harvest.  Management transferred to Seaway Bulk Carriers, St. Catharines  ON, a vessel operation and management joint venture of Algoma Central Railway and ULS  Corporation to operate their straight deck vessels, ULS Corporation, Mgr.  (Did not operate for  this fleet).

Sold for scrap 1995 to Indian shipbreakers.  Cleared Montreal May 2, 1995 with str. Canadian  Pathfinder towed by Russian tug Neftegaz 16.  Tow diverted to Mulgrave NS because  of engine malfunction on tug;  cleared Mulgrave Dec 1.  Vessel broke in two in storm Dec 3,  1995 and sank.  (Tow with Canadian Pathfinder arrived Alang India Feb 19, 1996.)
