    • I know very little about T L Durocher and his firm. My field is the larger (1000+ GT) vessels in commercial transportation service on the Lakes. My impression was that Durocher wasn’t really in that kind of business. I see that you got to me through the first Sainte Marie but when she stopped running in ferry service, I expect Durocher bought her for support service for the stuff he did. I think Durocher might have first been located in the Soo but moved later to DeTour (and my order may even be wrong!) and it looks like the operation was sold or merged into a company now headquartered in Cheboygan MI.

There is a website called Boatnerd.com which has a very large membership involved in all kinds of Lakes interests and which has a column for searching out information. You might check with them to see if you can get your questions to a pretty large audience.

Request from me: I have been having serious computer problems, particularly sending and receiving email. If this answer does get to you, I would most appreciate your letting me know.
