Hull sheathed with iron from keel to 2 feet above water line for operation in river ice.

1 deck, coal-fired boilers, 2 cylinder inclined horizontal condensing engine, 1400 IHP

163.0 x 33.3 x 10.0, 1190 GT, 999 NT     to:
Great Western Railway Co.

Entered service June 1857 across Detroit River between Windsor ON and Detroit MI

Laid up 1875 at Port Huron MI

Burned June 16, 1876 at her dock at Port Huron MI, St. Clair River.  Apparently set on fire from the cinders from a passing tug.  Shipkeeper’s wife and daughter aboard, rescued by the crew of another vessel.
